EDUCATION PROGRAM

HealthShare provides scholarship for Ye'Kwana and Sanema students, both at the high school and university level. Students are chosen by tribal leadership based on merit and commitment to community advancement.

As it is our goal to strengthen the community through improved education, we require students to serve as volunteers for the tribal council during their studies.

Students also commit to working within their community for at least five years after graduation. Those who cannot fulfill this commitment and instead find employment outside of their tribal region forfeit their scholarship benefits and are expected to sponsor other students from their community.

We currently support 8 students for the 2004-2005 school year. Over the past four years, 12 students have successfully completed their studies and are working within their communities.
